Ag's vs. Turfs

( Thorn trees - Honey Locust, perhaps? Nasty, huge thorns everywhere. Thorns on thorns, even.

In the first photo, it seems you may have a fungus problem from the fairy rings I see. Do you get mushrooms after a heavy rain? We have that problem here in Florida. It could explain the poor turf growth.

As for the tire marks, you didn't say if you were in 4WD, but 2WD will mark the grass a whole lot less than 4WD.

I hate Honey locust. However, if cut in the right season, it makes a better fence post than any ceder, plus you can make beer with the pods. They are **** on tires, just ask my front turfs.

Re: Ag\'s vs. Turfs

I own both and the turfs are for sale. The indentations in the lawn go away quickly. The turfs end up spinning and tearing up the sod. They are useless for loader work unless the ground is dry and bring chains if you are snowblowing. I initially had the ags and opted for the turfs because I was also leaving marks when the ground was soft. The only thing I will say about the turfs is they are smooth running for mowing.

Just my 2 cents.
