Snow Advice - Pushing Snow

   / Advice - Pushing Snow #11
I've plowed snow for years with a 42" or so blade on the CC1440. When the snow was real deep or especially wet I'd use the FEL on our 200 ft gravel driveway with the B1750.

The reason I'm responding is that this will be the first year I'll be putting on the back blade but I intend to pull the snow with the blade angled to one side. I was wondering your experience trying it that way...I hate to backwards too.

Had the back blade for years but used it for excavating projects...decided to use when I saw the neighbor efficiently pull snow out of his driveway with his yorkrake. Thanks

Is it possible to buy a cheap used truck blade and build a frame to mount it to your tractor either like 4shorts did or making it frame mounted. You can pick up plow blades on craigslist for very little money. Even if you couldnt do it yourself maybe paying someone else to build it for you. Could cost maybe all of $500 instead of over $2000.

I have the B3030 Kubota quick hitch (B 2791) that came off a friends tractor, never used just mounted. It has the up/down cylinder and hoses. Make me an offer, you will be half way home. Will have to figure out how to ship.
