Hello I'm new to the forum, I'm looking for an older compact tractor to use a few times a year for my food plots. Right now I'm looking to buy just the tractor, and maybe a backblade for my driveway this winter. I've come across a 1980 ford 1100 for $1900. It looks to be in great shape. Thoughts on this tractor, anything I should know? Are parts readily available still? Thanks!

The price is good if it looks good and has had regular maintenance. They are tough little tractors. The price is great if it's 4WD and has a hydrostatic transmission. Welcome to TBN!

Will it take standard three pt implements? I don't know a ton about tractors but from reading threads on the forum it looks like a handful of older tractors have a reverse pto etc. and will only take a specific brush hog or finish mower

The 1100 will take standard implements. It works just like anything new.

TractorData.com has lots of info too.

For food plots you will want 4x4 in a small tractor like the 1100. Those small tractors do not do ground engagement tasks very well without it.
