Well in the middle of the night an edit appears and you are using a quick hitch that is good to know.
I f you would post a few good pictures I am sure we can come up with the best way to solve your fit issues.

Some clarification is needed:
Is the implement too far to the left (when you are sitting in the seat; facing forward)?
If so, you may need to adjust your chains, stay strap or adjustable stabilizer bar, depending on how your hitch is configured:

It almost sounds as if he is using an offset attachment, where he hooked up to the bottom pins but the top is off.? I think I could be wrong.
