You may want to check this out although it's for the rear. Tractor receiver hitch and weight bracket for 3 point lift, 3 Point Tractor Hitches for John Deere Tractor Accessories | Heavy Hitch Looks like it would work pretty well other than having to buy the weights!

But if you already had front bumper weights that you did not know what to do with after adding a FEL, it would be a great simple way to add weight to the rear. Good idea that will go in my file of good ideas.

I didn't need that much weight. Went down to my local aircraft landing gear overhaul shop and he had some 2 x 8 laying around, made me a bumper including paint for $100. It weighs a little more than 100 lbs. Works great.

LOL! Now that is humorous. "Local aircraft landing gear overhaul shop".

Are they right next to NAPA? LOL!

The chunk of steel on there looks good.

I'm adding a real rear weight to my Kubota BX2350 after a couple of years of using a kit-bashed "garbage can" weight that proved the concept. This time I'm using a real heavy gauge 55 gal. drum and some sturdy, welded brackets. I THINK I should be using around 400 lbs. of weight, total, but I'm having a great deal of difficulty confirming this, despite tons of searching the forums. Can anyone give me some guidelines on this? I can't even find anything on Kubota's site for BX series tractors regarding this. Thanks!

From BX2360 manuals:

Loader manual recommends a maximum of 420 pounds on the rear as loader ballast.

Tractor manual recommends a maximum of 275 pounds on the front as rear implement ballast.

The manual, really? :) I imagine the 2350 and the 2360 must be pretty similar but I'll have to dig mine out and check that, thanks for the reminder. Funny how nowadays everything is so internet-centric that it's easy to forget about the much simpler look in the printed manual.
