2004 Kubota M4800
I have an M4800 kubota. It has one factory remote. I just added a HTL and would like to add a Hydraulic Side Link. Kubota wants about $600.00 each for remotes.

I'm thinking of using Surplus Center parts and constructing my own.

I would like to tie into the Power Beyond port on my loader valve. http://www.bushhog.com/ContentFiles/Documents/Manuals/Loaders-M346-M446-M546-M646.pdf (page 37) shows my loader valve.

Would I just unhook the return line going to the rear end housing and run a short line to 2 spool valve like this one: https://www.surpluscenter.com/cart.asp?UID=2468022612245058&catname=hydraulic . And then reattach the return line going to the rear end housing to the outlet port of the valve. Or would I hook to the power beyond port of the valve. I'm confused :confused2: .

Basically I want to do like Rob did with Loretta's tractor http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i106/rliefveld/Jinma Package/Finish Mods and WORK/2Medium.jpg . http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i106/rliefveld/Jinma Package/Finish Mods and WORK/2Medium.jpg

Are these the correct valves to add two remotes??? Is Hydraulic in on one end and out on the other????

3RRL, where are you????

The hose from the FEL PB port goes to the new/next valve IN/pressure port. The PB from the second valve goes to the rear/3pt. The return or out from each valve should go to tank.

OK, that's as clear as mud.

JJ,

I posted a picture of the valve on my loader. Does that mean I unhook the hose from the valve on the side and then run a line to the inlet of the new Prince valves. Then hook up the return line that came off the loader valve (at the power beyond port) to the power beyond port on the new valves???? Since these will be the last valves in line. Would the power beyond on the new valves and return lines both have to be hooked into the resevoir??? I don't think my loader valve is plumbed like this now.

As you can see, I don't fully understand tractor hydraulics. Even though I can rebuild a Holly Carb or internal combustion engine with my eyes shut  .

Yes, that is correct.

>FEL PB port to the IN on the new valve
>PB port on new valve to where the lines you removed was feeding (99% of the time that is the 3PH valve)
>OUT of the new valve to the tank-this can be Tee'd with the OUT line from the FEL valve.

The valve you linked to will work perfectly, But I personally like this Joystick valve to control TnT cylinders.

Yes, what I said, and what Kenny said. The last circuit in line will be the 3pt. The first valve up stream will take all or some of the fluid, and any valve downstream can operate, but at reduced capability. If you have a 10 GPM pump, and the first valve is using 5 GPM, the remaining valves can use the other 5 GPM.

I agree with these veterans, same way I did mine, AND prefer the joystick to individual valves.

Kenny,

My loader valve only has two hoses at this time. The pressure line comes in from the rear end housing, just above the drawbar. The return line comes out the power beyond plug on the side of the valve and runs back to the side of the transmission housing to run the 3pt hitch.

There is not a third line coming off the loader valve (return) like I highlighted in red in your quote.

Rob,

Got your PM thanks for the help.

JJ,

Thanks to you also.

HMMMM...

I don't understand how the PB port is used and there is no Tank or OUT line:confused2:

Can you identify any markings on the ports?

I don't understand how the pressure is coming from rearend and the pump is up front. I thought pressure goes to readend to feed 3pt and remote valves.
