Adding rear scvs to 3032E?

I know you can buy a kit for this (about $750) from John Deere but I was wondering if anyone has done this without buying the kit and just making their own with parts and hoses from supply stores. If so, was it cheaper?

I should be putting my valve to run my blower chute back on the tractor tomorrow. I'll try to take some pictures. I used a compact loader valve from surplus center, and connected to the power beyond. If you do not have the power beyond, you can add it either by the I'd kit, or DIY. There is a thread by Kennyd I think, that outlines it.
