I need some help, I have a 630D Satoh Bull with a loader. The hydraulic filter is a brass screen in the transmission case and is a pain to clean. I was thinking about getting a in line cartridge filter from N Tool that flows 35gpm and put in the return line from the loader. I was hoping to keep the internal filter cleaner. Would this cause any problems?

If you are going to install a return filter, get one with an indicator. The filters come in different micron rating. Return filters are in the range of 25 microns. So any particle smaller than 25 microns is still going to circulate through out the hyd system. If the tractor has a hydrostatic transmission, it would be in the suction side of the pump, and should be about 10 microns.

It is not hydrostatic, just the lift and loader works off the pump. The filter I am looking at is 35gpm and 10 microns from what the Northern Tool website says. I was going to put on the return line between loader valve and the transmission. Thanks for the help.
