John Deere 1050 Hydraulics

I have a Deere 1050 which I think is about a 1988. Having issues with the Hydraulics and pressure relief. The suction Hose that goes from the spin off filter to the hydraulic line is compressing which is restriction flow. Any Help??

Also had water in the system which I changed the oil and drained 3 times along with the filter and screen filter. Anything else I should before putting new oil in.

Sounds to me like your spin-on filter or suction screen is still clogged.

Right, and the hoses get old and soft with age and hot oil...you need to replace suction hoses every so often. Sounds like yours is past due if it can be collapsed. It won't hurt to replace it.

Interesting. I don't know what to say about that. You might want to check to make sure it is OEM hose.

You said originally that it was compressing and restricting flow.
But suction hoses are specifically made so that when new they can resist compression by the only forces that they will ever see - which are fairly low outside pressures in the atmospheric range i.e. 15 psi max.
Old ones can collapse, but not new ones.

So if your suction hose is both new and it is compressing.... then it is either defective and/or you have a blockage in the transmission screen or in the spin-on suction filter.
It could be both a defective hose and a blockage.
