I was wondering what all can I do to add the horses to my super m.

Over the years I've observed that when someone attempts to add new horses to their machine, the original horses feel slighted and start acting up, resulting in a decrease in overall performance.
Teams of engineers who know a lot more than you and I have already squeezed all the power they can from the engine in your machine.
Direct your energy into proper maintenance of the machine you have, or direct it into earning enough to buy a more powerful machine.

Unless, your M is "weak" to start with, you don't need to increase the HP beyond what IH built into it....if it will spin the tires in first/second gear without choking out the engine, what will more HP do for you except drink more gas?....if you absolutely have $$$ buring holes in your pants pockets, get a set of FireCrater pistons and oversize venturi for the carb...you'll spend a bunch to get about another 15HP....BobG in VA

A chevy small block should be a good swap. Cut hops at 40mph.

As an engineer, I disagree with the 'we've squeezed out all we can' statement...
We intentionally make everything capable of three times the power that the customer gets for a stock machine. That way, when they show up on a forum like this, we are the heroes for telling them how to turn up the power!!
On a Super M, there is a little screw on the left side. In for more power, out for less... You can put in a longer screw if you need.
Seriously, talk to your local machine shop. As with most powersports, power = $$$. You can do a lot with the right money and skills...Your engine is an air pump. Keep that in mind!
