I got the temp and oil pressure hooked up OK, and looks good...60 psi @ 1500 Rpm. Temp is a little slow to respond, but it will work. Problem is I don't know where to connect the charge guage and so far haven't been able to figure it out.

Contacts are marked + and -. OK, - goes to ground, but where does the + go so that it only indicates when the alternator is charging. Users manual shows large wire at (A) at 2 o'clock position, smaller wire at (E) at 11 o'clock and 2 wires in a connector at 7 o'clock (N/F) on the alternator. Where do I make the connection? Or am I completely off base?

Thanks,

If your meter is a voltmeter, hook the + to a point that the schematic shows as +12v after the switch. I just hooked mine to a connection on the fuse block. The - connection can go to the chassis, wherever is convenient. I don't think ammeters are used much on these tractors because the alternators generally don't produce enough current to deflect the needles. A typical ammeter shows +/- 60 amps full scale. I don't know what your alternator produces, but the 5 amps or so that mine generates is insignificant on a typical ammeter.
