Iseki 2160f
Hi all i am still new to the tractor thing so go easy on me

i have bought myself an iseki tx2160 and would like to add a spool valve
for use on a single acting ram for a tipping trailer for now may be other things as well once i have the option

now there are two pipes a flow and return from the pump on the engine to the side of the rear axle case now i was thinking could i tee in to the flow pipe and be able to lift the ram by the lifting the 3 point link arms or am i way off the mark here

also assuming that i am way off would any one be able to explain the right way to go about it

many thanks chris

Chris,
You cannot Tee into any high pressure lines-it just will not work. The fluid will "take the path of least resistance" and leave you with no usable flow/pressure in either circuit. All new valve MUST be added in series.

Nope, won't work. You will need to add a new valve to control your cylinder/s.

Does your machine have a loader?

get an open center valve with power beyone.. use the power beyond to feed the 3pt lift.. ie.. breakt he hi pres line.. feed input to new valve.. and PB back to the other side of the hi pres line.. then use the working ports on the valve for your remotes. maybee get a dual valve with one vale left as DA and plumbed to a set of QD's, and the other valve switchable between da and sa, and configure for sa and have it's one line to a qd for your trailer.

alternately, a simple log splitter valve with an in/out and work ports will work, IF the valve can nahdle the back pressure from the downstream load ( 3pt ).. some can.. many won't.. thus the need for power beyond.

Hi thanks for the replies
no i don't have a loader on it just a basic tractor i got it for topping the 3 acres we have with the house then it just seemed that there is so much else it can do with a few mods

so does the valve need to be tapped in to both lines to allow the fluid back from the ram as well and it would need to be after the relief valve i would assume or does this need to happen in the valve as well ?

sorry for all the questions its new to me and i like to get it right first time making the brackets and parts up won't be a prob once i get my head around the plumbing and valves

The PRV (pressure relief valve) is built into the valve. You would need to identify the pressure (OUT) line from the pump that feeds the 3PH and cut into it. You can use Swagelok compression fittings to adapt the steel line to hoses. The line from the pump will go to the IN of the new valve, the Power Beyond port (BYD) on the new valve will go to the other steel line to feed the 3PH, and the OUT (or T) port will go to the transmission sump.

I believe there are some threads down in the Chinese tractor forum that have details...might wan to search terms like these there:

remote
swagelok
