Adding 3 spool valve to JD 4020

First I would like to apologize if this has already been addressed but I did a search I could not find the information. I am wanting to add a 3 spool valve to my 4020 to operate a batwing mower. I would like two of them to have the float option. Where can I tap into the hydraulic system to have this operate correctly? Would I simply just have a supply and rerun line?

You have a CC system and 13 GPM for valve flow.

Using the valve below, you can order the options you need, using the drop down menus, such as float, detent, etc.

I am not that familiar with JD's, but I believe there is an accessory block toward the back.

Look at your owner manual and it should provide the info you need.

Our 1967 4020 has a 3 spool vavle mounted on the fender so you can operate it with your right hand. We run our FEL with the 3 spool vavle (only use 2 of 3 vavles). It has quick connects that we disconnect the hoses for the FEL (but leave the loader on) and plug in our 3 batwing hoses. The valve is run from the rear remotes.

I have a bradco root-rake grapple for my Kubota M9450. If I can find or make an adapter plate for the JD 148 FEL, I'd like to utilze the 3rd vavle to run the grapple with the 4020 if needed.

This brings up a question about float.

If you have a two lever valve and one of them is in float, the first spool, can the other lever be in detent, and still function?

Is there any flow to another downstream valve via the PB port?

1967 model 4020 doesn't have a detent or float function, you'll have to be the float.

That was just a question, not relative to any model in particular. Just related to theory of operation.
