( Hey Vince , All kidding aside . Did you need to run off the battery to pull that much power for the added lights ? I'm thinking that I should also do a couple more lights for snow removal this winter. What size wire did you run ? )

Allen,
No I didn't go to the battery. And I think I used 14 gauge wire.
There is a plug/wires on the right rear of my tractor. Power comes on when the headlights are turned on. I came off that plug for the center 2 ROPs lights. (they turn on with my headlights).
For the outside 2 ROPs lights I added a seperate switch ( near the factory installed rear light and came off that rear light for power (there are 2 wires there. One comes on when the tractor is in reverse, the other wire was hot all the time that I used for power).
Hope this makes any sense.

Would one of you guys show a picture of where you powered the lights from and the wire arrangement?

gmsssi,
Since I am handicaped when it comes to trying to use a camera or post a picture I think Vince will be your best bet .Besides my tractor is 750 miles away at the ranch in Idaho while I recover from my broken ankle here in California.

TractorLegend and Vince,

Do you get all kinds of bugs attracted to your head area?

I would think the lights would "vibrate" from being mounted that high. You both have folding rops, don't you?

I know on my tractor when I "shake" the loader (to make sure it is empty) the sunshade will shake also.

Occasionally, yes

I have folding rops, but I have never noticed my lights vibrating

Greg,
I could not find a picture of the wire plug.
I will try to get one within the next few days.

My lights at a total of 165 watts I think deserve a relay and I ran 14 ga for the two big ones tied together and another 14 for the single, and a 12 ga. ground---Im robbing power off the starter terminal and I ran wires in split loom tubing up the left side and used cable ties and some factory clamps (bendy-doo tabs) I'll put the relay under the left dash area ziptied to a big existing harness.
I will likely drill (arghhhh) holes in the plastic dash for water resistant switches.
What this picture doesnt show is the accessory wire I left on the bar, a two pin trailer plug in for magnet mount strobe.

( Looks good Mark. Running at night would be a good solution to the hornet nest problem I have. They are inactive at night.

Funny thing neighbors have immediately asked for all sorts of bush hogging work. I don't know what to charge. It's just fun stuff.

I like that new foaming RAID. Im sorta sadistic that way when it comes to bees.

My dad always taught me about people loaning equipment that they are happy to ask for it, but rarely are so exuberant to follow you to the repair counter $$$$ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
