Add Hour Meter

Want to add hour meter to ZTR. Seems to be two types. On one a sensor wire wraps around spark plug wire and the other needs 12 v engine on power source. Anyone with experiance on either or both?

I have done the 12 volt and I would recommend wiring it to an oil pressure switch, that way it will only record running time not just key on time

I agree with Mr. Jimi said. In addition, that little add on sparkplug tach/hourmeter has a little battery in it that has to be replaced every couple of years, another pita, if you ask me!
