Case/IH JX 55
I have a Case/Ih JX55 with fel. The tractor came with joystick but not the control valve to use it. I want to add a grapple, the dealer wants $1000 to add the valve control to use the trigger. I've thought of just getting extra hose and using the rear connections to control the jaw ( rarely used otherwise). Suggestions or experience with this? Thanks

Many people do this and it works out just fine for them. It is by far the cheapest route to go. Do some shopping on line for your hoses. This will get you the best price for custom length hoses. I suggest using 3/8" hose, but many recommend 1/4" and that is really all that you need for a grapple. Cheaper and easier to route.

Try these guys if you don't know where to shop. http://www.hydraulicstore.com/hydraulic.html

Thought the hoses would be more expensive, had some made for a top link that cost me $100+. Ckecked on line and every thing for the hookup, hoses and connectors, for around $100 total, I can reach behind me for that. versus several $100s
to use the trigger on the joystck.

Thanks
