Currently have Kubota L4600HST, Kubota M7040, Kubota M8540, two Massey 265's, Massey 230, ...... Had Long 510, Mahindra 3510.Ford 4000, Deere 4230.
Looks as though the early 67hp 7040 model has same motor etc as the later 71hp version and just a turbo was added.
The turbos can be bought aftermarket for around $250. Wonder what else needs added or changed? Ive got parts manuals on the way to compare.

May need a different head gasket, adding boost is a easy way to blow!

Lots of plumbing required, especially if you want charge air cooled. A turbocharger also requires it's own oil line for lubrication as well as a return to sump and there is there is the issue of elevated combustion temps due to the 'boosted' charge air. I think I'd just purchase a larger unit with the hairdryer already installed and call it good.

Some poster on here refitted his unit with a hairdryer and the plumbing was quite involved and made me scratch my head over it.

The other thing about a hairdryer is, it has to be correctly sized to the engine. Too large is no good and too small isn't either.

One nice thing about having a turbocharged engine is, you don't need a muffler anymore. The turbocharger acts as a muffler as it breaks up and dissipates the exhaust sound waves.

I removed the stock mufflers on both my turbocharged M9's a long time ago. I run a straight pipe from the turbo's to the atmosphere and they have a very pleasing sound, not overly loud, just nice.
