Got some information back from Arccaptain sales:
Dear Richard,
Thank you for your patience over the weekend while awaiting our response.
We appreciate your detailed questions - here are the answers for you:
- The flexible plastic part is the outer protective lens, which should not be removed. It serves as an essential shield, protecting the inner auto-darkening lens and sensors from sparks, scratches, and debris to ensure clear vision and long-term durability.
- For storage, please set the mode switch to the "Grind" position.
- The helmet has an operating temperature range of -5°C to +55°C (23°F to 131°F). For storage, no specific temperature is required – simply keep it at room temperature.
We hope this information is helpful.
I had ask what is the purpose of the flexible plastic on the front of the helmet. I think he is mistaken about it, as I have some flat solid plastic parts that are replacement for the shields that are in there now.
Sales, what do they know?
The user manual did not have the operating temp range or any info on what to do for storage. So now I do have that info.
Richard
P.S. more new coming up soon on my mower upgrade.
