AC Welder to DC conversion.

( Sure, I understand RMS voltages but 80 volts still doesn't sound right. I'm by no means a welding expert )

It basically said that the 80v number sounded like a Peak to peak value... convert that to rms, which ar ethe numbers we are used to dealing with and that is about 28v .. which is about right...

I've done this on an old Miller Thunderbolt 225 amp. unit.
If anyone is still interested, I will post some pictures.

It works absolutely wonderful. I didn't use a reactor or capacitors.

Okay, I posted five pictures of the rectifier. I did not post a schematic/circuit diagram since it is only a full-wave bridge but if anyone needs the schematic, I will draw one.

Any comments negative or positive will be appreciated.
