(should read above 2320) Sorry! I cannot edit it!

I first was looking at the BX series, but the B series feels a bit more comfortable. I am not huge guy (6' 188lbs) and I caught my pants on the leverage three times getting off and on the BX! AAA! What a weggie. Maybe I need to do some squats.

So anywho - the B2320 has less HP than some of the BX series. Should I be worried about running a snow blower, brushhog, and MMM? I am not too worried about the FEL. I will be using that to play in the woods and some snow removal.

Thanks TBN - sorry for all the questions recently.

Also - the price I got with the FEL, R4 tires (filled), block heater, and three hooks on the bucket was $15,200. Looking at other threads - this seems high. I have seen 2320's on this forum going for:

B 2320 HSD Std.Tractor, 4wd, 23 diesel hp, Turf Tires
$10,299.00 Cash Deal
$10,419.00 Financed Deal
After 10% Down ... 60 months @ 5.99% = $182.00 per month
(Sales tax and insurance is not included)

And another

B2320 with R4s
RCK 60 MMM
LA304 Loader

Cash Price $14,400

I should add the only reason I am not hopping on a 2920 is because of a budget I need to work with. 15,500 is about as high as I want to go.

What am I doing wrong?

Josh

I would personally want at minimum a 2620, have you gotten a quote from Barlow's?

No - I read your post and then googled it. KY is very far from VT. Do they air drop? ;)

No, but they will deliver by truck just about anywhere and at least give you a quote that might be of use in assessing those in your area.

Barlows delivers all over the place and apparently offer unbeatable prices. You should have no worries running implements on any tractor you choose as long as you size them correctly. The B2620 and B2920 give you a bit stronger loader, but each hop up will cost you ~$900. I operate my 60" MMM at 2200 rpms and it never struggles to get the job done.

Thanks TripleR and EtW - Both good tips! I will totally "play" the numbers! I will email them now.

Thanks a bunch! Maybe I will be able to afford the larger tractor.

Very seldon do you ever hear anyone say that they bought too large of tractor. Most of the time you hear that they wish they would have bought one that was a little bigger.

It'll cost about $600 to $700 to ship a tractor from KY. As long as you can wait a little and they can get a couple of other deliveries in the NY New England area the price could be a little lower or higher.

I think that the quote that you got for the B2320 is a bit high, though not terribly so I guess. I paid a little less than that a couple of years ago for my B2620 so maybe that is where my thoughts are coming from.
I asked a doctor once which exercise equipment was the best, and he said "the one you use". :D Of course he is right, and it applies to tractors as well. My neighbor has a new Massey 1529 with a loader that he bought a couple of weeks ago. It is more tractor than my little B, but he just came over to borrow my tractor with the rototiller attached . For what he paid, I bought the tiller, and another implement to go with my tractor. Actually nearly the tiller, and chipper.

If you search TBN for Barlows you will find that they have delivered tractors all over the US because they give the best price and treat you good. Good people to deal with. My dealings with Barlows started out with a search for the best price and ended with a 2 tractor purchase.

Thanks Chuck! Did you go local to buy?

Thanks Dex - I already emailed them! :)

I bought a B2320 with 60 MMM and FEL this spring and have been very impressed with the performance of the machine. Although the B2320 has the same hp as the BX2360, it has a larger displacement engine. I have not used many attachments but I have never had a lack of power issue. I test drove the 2620 and although it was a test drive I couldn't tell a difference related to power. The price of 14400 seems pretty good and I think Kubota still has the 0% offer.

abeal,

Did you pay 14,400 with the loader and the mower?

Also - do you (or anyone) know if the FEL has a float capability?

Thank you!

Yes, I bought locally for a number of reasons in Plainfield NH. They aren't perhaps the cheapest folks around but all tractors come with loaded tires, 3 bucket hooks, engine block heater, and good service. I also know they will take care of my sons when the tractor becomes part of my estate.

I personally don't pay too much attention to horsepower. The engine is actually the same engine at the BX2660, for all intents and purposes, not the BX2360.

The horsepower "game" is mostly marketing, achieved by a lot of magic RPM speeds. When you actually see that Kubota rates the BXs at 3200 while rating the Bs at much less, and you look at the engine type, you'll likely find little if any difference between the engine of the BX2660 and B2320.

I spoke with Drew there. I am about .5 hours from there. Drew seemed like a stand-up guy. He told me about the free loaded tires, three hooks, and block heater.

My 1yo son and I went there this weekend and had some time sitting on them. I need to go there and drive them when I have some time!

Good to know you really trust them.

Good point bp. The engine is the same I see. Just with a longer bore&stroke. Thank you for the advice!!
