A Quick Question

I hope this was not already asked.

I have a Kubota B7500 HSD with a Woods 6500 backhoe, which when attached works off the tractor's hydraulics from the "Power Beyond" from the front loader valve. When not in use, the hoses are connected with quick connects at the rear of the tractor to complete the "loop". It's messy.

My question is, I would like to put a divertor type valve attached to the ROPES which will return the fluids back to to the pump to complete the "loop", when the backhoe is not attached. When the backhoe is attached, hoses will be connected with quick connects to the backhoe.

Does this make sense? Any suggestions?

the looped hoses are already doing that... are you simply wanting to divert more near the base of the hose than the ends? if so.. what about making a shortr stub hose to make a loop closer tot he valve, and adding in 2 more QD's

how do you like your 6500? I have one as well.. made a tlb out of an old 1955 ford 850 that has a 1-arm loader on it..

There is no good/effective alternative to just plugging the hoses together. It's a tried and true method used by all OEM'c

I want to neater set-up. Is there a valve like this?

I was also thinking of welding the ends of the quick connects to a steel plate which would attach to the ROPS. A 12" hose at the end would complete the loop. I would like to find a valve like I described before , but I'm no expert on hydraulics.

Soundguy- the 6500 backhoe works well with the tractor, even in rocky Orange County N.Y. I tend to load the front loader with rock, the tractor is more stable.

Put quick connects at the start of the hoses and just take them off when not in use.

yeah that's what i was mentioning.. make the long hoses the 'extenders for the backhoe, and leave them on the hoe.. plugged together to keep clean.. and onthe tractor just ahve shorter stub hoses at the valve.

to the op.. no need to weld fittings to a plate.. there is a premade pressure / return clamp that holds 2 hoses with qd's, and has a tab on it with a bolt hole for mounting... but as said.. you are really trying to fix a problem that don't exist. forget the valve.. the shorter stub hose and 2 more qd's solves the issue and you just plug those together at the valve to complete the circuit, and the other hoses you leave on t he backhoe, plugged together when not in use to keep em clean..

You have to connect the two lines together to keep the flow going.
