It finally happened! Saturday my wife took me and my daughter to the Kubota dealership so I could show her exactly what I wanted. We looked at the BX-24 and I gave her a tour. I looked over at her and and said, "Well, what do you think?". Her reply was "I am here aren't I?"
We are all eagerly awaiting the delivery on Tuesday of the new BX-24.
It has been a year since I have been lurking around here and reading everything I can. Soon I will post my own questions and projects and experiences. Great site with great info. Thanks to all.
I am confident that this little Kubota will dig some trenches, post holes and everything else I can justify digging for the next several years. And it will fit on my small 3 acres, too.
I feel that I got a great deal, as well. The price was $16,200 for the BX-24 with R4's, Rankin toothbar for the loader and reinforced bucket hooks on the loader and backhoe bucket. That all includes free delivery, full tank of gas, two Kubota hats (one for me and one for my daughter) and free pickup and delivery for service at the dealer when needed.
The dealer is Issaquah Honda Kubota and they have a great reputation for service. They originally quoted $15,900, but were willing to match the $15,500 from another dealer (that would have charged $60 for delivery).
And yes...there will be many pictures soon!
