I recently went through the same process. I think I looked at every used tractor for sale on the east coast over a two month period. I also looked at every new tractor in my price range.

In the end I could find more tractor for the money than a DK45SE. I considered the cab tractors too. However, when I combined the extra cost and factored in that it's not my job so I can choose which days I work I decided to go with an open operator station.

So far, so good. It's very wet here, so we'll have to wait to start draining our soggy little pasture. In the meantime there's a hundred years of logging slash to clean up in the back 3 acres. Definitely enough to keep us busy. (And shed a few extra pounds in the process)
Hope you're enjoying your new DK45. It's a bit fancier than our DS, but no regrets. Now that I've let the tires down to the proper pressure, this thing pulls like a train. I really like the HS transmission. With a gibbled right foot, the HST was not a comfortable fit for me.
