950 Front axle vent

I just bought a 950 4wd and it seems to build pressure in the front axle. When I take the dip stick out there is pressure like a vent is clogged but I can't locate a vent. I am considering drilling a hole in the dip stick cap.

my 950 has a small bent pipe for the vent its on left side under tractor hood.yours probably broke and is filled with dirt.

I leave the dip stick just a bit loose to allow venting. Works for me.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look closer tomorrow to see if I can locate. it's hard to see the top center of axle housing.

Looking at jdparts.com (free registration) and as "sal64" said, it shows a vent tube (item 4) on the left side.. and what is called a plug (item 8) which looks to be a dip stick. Hope this figure helps, as it is from jdparts.com and you can look at that as well.
Just put in model 950, and look at the list to find the 950 compact utility, then the alphabetical list for AXLE 4wd and you will see it.

Thanks found the vent tube today #4. It had a mud dobber nest in it. Got it opened up maybe that will help the seeping spindle seals. I'll hold off replacing them till I see.
