Ford 8n
Hi. Just bought a 1948 8n and attached a box scrape to cut in a road. Although the soil is sandy and loamy, every time the scrape gets into the soil, the tractor stalls. I'm very new to using this type tractor and assuming that I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?

how does she run?

does she take throotle god or pop and buck and sputter on a quick throttle up?

lastly. you can;t just drop anchor and go. you do have to feather a bit when blading... especially if your toplink angle is set for a deep cut.

post back some details

Throttle is fine and feathering worked okay on the more level areas. I will try adjusting the blade a little more to compensate for the bumpier areas and see if that helps. Hopefully it's just a matter of getting a feel for this tractor and I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!
