What size, type & length top link do I need for a JD 855?

I have no manual or top link.
I'd like to shop by phone but I don't know exactly what I need to ask for?
Though I'd ask before calling...

I don't know anything...

Go to TSC and get a cat. 1 toplink. If it is too short they make a longer one. The regular one should work unless you have a quick hitch. If you don't have a hitch, look at Pat's easy change. JC

Is it a Cat 1 or 2???

It is a cat 1. cat 2 is "usually" reserved for ~50+HP machines

P.S. have you got all the bugs worked out of the machine yet?

The bugs are more or less gone.

The starting issue was, the pedals not being aligned. I use my foot to even the pedals, then it starts.
I still need to retention the pedal springs to make them retract consistently.

The water pump still weeps and I have ordered a new one.

The fuel shut-off solenoid still won't shut off the fuel all the way...so it "diesels" when I turn the key off.
I just tap the solenoid forward to kill it. I think an adjustment will fix it.

I don't have a top-link for the 3 point.

Other than that, it's a sweet Tractor.
