So I bought a 1986 JD 850 1481 hours it started with a jump and after replacing both front tires I went to bring it home. My question is the first time I started the tractor the 3 PT hitch arms moved as expected today they did not. The 3 PT lever on the right felt like it was spring loaded forcing the lever back up and thus raising the rocker arms back up. The 2 selector levers just scream when moved out of the neutral position as well. I sold the tractor before I brought it home ( although he hasn't paid the whole amount yet because the 3 PT hitch isn't acting correctly ) to mess with so I am looking for some input / experience / guidance etc. It does have the dual ports towards the rear which I would have eliminated along withe the selector valves if I had more time. The tractor is at the guys house who bought it so I want to be able to:

A hopefully fix it and get paid

or

B I will just bring it home and take it apart.

I know everyone likes pictures but I don't have any.

Remember no good deed goes unpunished. I should have just brought it home worked on it here then sold it and made some money.

Thanks in advance
