So far no snow here if we did get some it would melt is a day or 2
just a little rain. When I lived in Wisconsin my drive way would fill
in neck deep but I had a snow blower and would drive right under
the snow most of the time was like powder and then sometimes wet

Wolc,
Does the rim sit on the pilot at all with those nuts as spacers? I would be worried about the rim moving on the bolts if not engaged on the pilot and potentially wallowing out the holes in the rim.
No and that might be a problem if the bolts were not torqued, but should not be with them all tight. There’s not much clearance to the bolts on the holes in the rims, maybe 1/32” total.

It’s way better now than it was, without the tire chains rubbing on the fenders or hooking the implement on the 3-point. Wallowing of the holes is about the least of my concerns.

I also use that tractor for some disking in the spring and I think I’ll leave the chains on for that, to get the added traction assist. Thru the summer and fall, I mostly just use it on a bush hog, and I’ll take the chains off for that. I don’t imagine I’ll ever take the nut spacers off again.

I may add a heavy plate to the front bracket though, because that tractor has always been a little too light on the front, with a 5 ft bush hog on back, and has been limited to how much firewood I can carry on a 3 point carryall.
