80 Cart Serial #'s

Just got my Grandpas 80 Cart out today to give my little cousins a ride, and I've been wanting to know exactly what year it is. My guess is a 79, the year he bought the tractor and everything. I just cant find a chart like on WFM. Anybody have any preferences? The number on the sticker is 7846

I didn't think JD 80 dump carts or any other dump carts had serial numbers. My guess would be a 79 also.

Oh yeah, all of them had numbers. The early ones had brass tags, and the later ones had alum. stickers, like this one. I'd like to redo this aswell, but he still uses it. Personally i havent seen it outside ever!

I think the one on my dads 73 is aluminum, but I'm trying to remember. I can ask him what it is and the number on it for reference if it would help. I just picked up an 8HD for next to nothing that needs some rust cleanup/ paint only
