I see where the jimna site indicates they have an 8" model for $2300. It weighs a couple hundred pounds more and details are sketchy but it might have a four blade flywheel. When I find a stocking dealer I will give it a close inspection. I'm not sure but I think it has an assisted feed system. Anyone have additional information ?

PTO Driven Wood Chippers

Rugged 8" Jinma chipper shredder with heavy 24" 175 lb. flywheel type, that chips with downward pressure. Includes two 10" cutting blades with reversible blades. The chip blower makes blowing chips into the wheelbarrow a breeze! Runs on a standard PTO shaft (included); it will work on just about any tractor! This is a heavy duty self feeding tree chipper that can run all day.

Thanks Steve;
I didn't think I was dreaming. I know read about it at some web site. Any idea when they will become available ? When they say self feed is that manually pushing the material in ? jr

I have an 8" Jimna. I ordered a 6" one from Circle G Tractors in Mississippi and they sent this 8" one.

The hardest part of the assembly was figuring out how to put the box together that it sits on. The instructions are spartan and the pictures look different than them.

My 21HP NewHolland is not strong enough to take a 8" limb in it, but it works fine.

The blades are getting dull on mine. I guess I will have to try to reverse them soon. I am not sure how much you have to take it apart to do this.

You only have to remove the access plate behind the chipper feed opening on the right side. Have a second person there because your arms can't reach both sides. ;)

Mission complete. I took the loading chute off to make it easier to reach the allen head bolts. It also helps to remove the belt cover. When I did that I discovered two pillow bearings I had not previously found and greased.

I also removed the springs on the in feed and it lets it lock up and out of the way. You do not need to work on both sides of the wheel at the same time. You remove the lock nuts from the tractor side and then the allen head bolts unscrew from the rear.

I used my belt sander to sharpen the blades and did not turn them over at this time. It was very easy to do and produced a nice sharp edge.

I attached a picture of the model plate on my chipper. I added some pictures of the chipper itself. It is different than the 6' model with the safety stop bar around the chute.

Boy, the Chinese have really gotten carried away with the extended feed hopper!

My dealer insists that my chipper is a 6" one that is mis-labeled with a 8" tag. I am still emailing back and forth with them. Here is a picture of the throat of mine. Sure looks like an 8" one to me.

I bought a 6in from Circle G about 1.5 years ago. When lifting the feed roller it measured right at 8 inches.

If its an eight, I wouldn't complain since (from what I've read) they are all basically the same. Just don't bother trying to feed it eight inch wood. Its good to have a bigger feed opening, since the crotches on the limbs will fit right through.

After several emails back and forth to the dealer, they still insist that it really is a 6" machine with the wrong ID plate. There were two different guys replying to me. One said the 8" machine has 4 10" blades. Mine has only two. I cannot verify or disprove that. The horizontal opening is 8" and the feed roller opens to 8" which one of the guys said would make it an 8" machine. I used it again today. Who knows?

There are alot of Jinma clone pics, the original Jinma chipper is only 6" and does not look like that pic, they are similier in design. We sell the 6" model original Jinma like the attached pic,and now also sell a 8" chipper branded by us as a TomCat,it has some options that I never could get the Jinma factory to do such as.You have to be carefull when you order parts because all Jinma parts will not fit the others

Adjustable Ski type legs, 360 degree discharge chute, upgraded feed driveshaft,8" capacity.

The yellow one is a Tomcat and the Green one is a Jinma
