790 Leaking red liquid

I have a slight leak on my 790, and can't figure out what it is.
It seems to be coming from around the filter for the transmission, but the liquid is red. (The owners manual says to NOT use the red transmission fluid, so I hope that's not it.)
Anyone have an idea where I should start looking?

On my old 790 red was the color of Hydraulic fluid.which is stored near the back of the tractor.I hope this helps.

JD uses red colored hydraulic fluid at the factory, it comes in all new CUT's, they say it is easier to find leaks with the red fliud. So I assume you have a new tractor that has not had its 50 hr service. This leak should be covered under yor warrenty.

I have a new 3320 (3 weeks, 15 hours) that I have checkd all the fluids on. No sign if red hydraulic fluid, it is clear in both trans and front axel. Maybe JD no longer puts in the red dye.

Thanks for the response.
Actually, I didn't notice the leak until after the 50 maintenance vist to the dealer. That's not to say that's when it started. I think I'll call him, and see what he has to say.

I was under the impression that the transmission and hydraulic fluids were the same. I can only find 1 place to fill.

I had a similar symptom on my 4100 and after the dealer pulled their hair out over several days, they found a leaky solenoid valve / switch on the 3PH that was causing my leak. It cost like 3 dollars in new gaskets / seals and 100 plus bucks in labor to fix /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Yes, I am out of warranty /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
