3-Point Hitch 790 3 point sway adjusters

The sway adjusters on my 3 point hitch used to work great. But now it seems I cannot tighten them the same as I did in the past. I have the roll pins turned as tight as possible and get excessive swaying with my implements now. Did I somehow stretch the hardware???

Everything looks the same. I have had some pretty heavy loads back there (disc and cutter and box blade work) but didnt think I could stretch the hardware.

Anyone else experience this with a 790 or similar set up ?

Yesterday I noticed the same thing happening on my 790. We have been doing a lot of brush cutting this year. While hooking the tractor up to the box blade I noticed the extra sway of the lift arms but did not think to much about it. Will have to take a closer look at it when I have time.

Your draft arms are bent - you need to remove them and hammer them back with a sledge hammer....this will take up the slack...

I looked at my 3 point hitch parts again.....it's all in tact and looks like it's right......but I think an earlier episode I had caused some damage.......and I beleive your right Flywheel. Thanks for confirming the problem. Early this spring I did loose some of my linkage due to pins coming out in the brush....and I think this resulted in bending a lower pin.....maybe other stuff.

I think it's going to have to wait till fall/winter....cause I got too much to do right now. But I think I will take it all apart and put the fix on the bad parts.
