770 PTO locked up

[Pilot]

Second post. Everything in neutral, nothing attached to the PTO, engage PTO you can only rotate it by hand about 1/8 inch and fire it up & it wants to kill the engine if you slowly let out the clutch. So, what now?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a PTO brake, so it's not that.

What's the history?

Last time tractor used?

Last time PTO used?

Any previous issues?

How many hours?

Storage of tractor?

Helps to keep it in one.. just sayin...

And helps to know it apparently is not the brush hog hanging up the PTO.

Dual stage clutch or single stage?

It's two stage. Single position lever PTO engagement. Also optional front PTO. Sliding Gear dry clutch transmission. YANMAR built.
