New Member here. Been lurking for a while. I'm looking at a new tractor (cab-50-80horse), I'll post in the other section later. BUT, for this spot I don't know if I fully understand the New Holland current offerings.

What is the difference between a 2018/19 Workmaster and Powerstar in the 75hp motor?

Thanks in advance,
WL

I am wondering the same thing. From what I can tell the Workmaster is a 3 cylinder that weighs 6800lbs.
The Powerstar is a 4 cylinder but weighs less at 6200 and seems to be more expensive. I got a quote from 2 dealers here in Austin tx area for the Workmaster and they are at $44k and $45k with skid steer style loader. I have not quoted a Powerstar. The Workmaster seems to be an economy version of the Powerstar.

Exactly. It seems to be an economy version, but its heavier and has (as far as I can tell) an identical feature set. I think the Power in a 75 no longer exists but no one will tell me that. Not simple!

When I was tractor shopping a year ago I seem to remember that the Workmaster was just a simpler, plainer version than the Powerstar. 3 cyl versus 4 cylinder engine. Only available transmission was an 8 speed; the Powerstar gets a 12 speed and even a 20 speed if the creeper option was selected. Most important to me - the Workmaster was NOT available with a cab. The Powerstar has, in my opinion, the best cab in the business - even nicer than my Kubota!

I can't find any info on the Powerstar. In the smaller tractors, the comparison between the boomer and the workmasters shows a huge difference (20-30%) in loader capacity. Don't know if it carries over to the bigger ones, but that's the first thing I'd compare. Of course the Boomers are generally heavier and wider than the Workmasters in the same horsepower range, and the opposite appears to be the case with the bigger ones, so that might not be a problem.

VERY helpful... thank you. (at least very clear on one of the two machines)

Youtube has some good videos of the Powerstar. They appear to be similar but the Powerstar has more options available and a little nicer cab. The price of them doesn't seem to be too far apart.

I have 50hrs on my new Powerstar75, and I am very impressed to this point.

I'm pretty excited to get my Powerstar75. I'm waiting on the dealer to add a 3rd function to the loader and load the tires. I think the power shuttle is gonna be sweet.

Congratulations, I have no doubt you will be more than satisfied with your Powerstar75, it continues to impress me with every hour spent running it, and trust me, I am really putting it to the test with my land clearing project...

I got my 2018 Powerstar T4.75 on 2/1/2019. I sure am spoiled The creature comforts are fabulous. Heater and air conditioner keep me comfy no matter what the weather. I have used the loader and my 84 inch snow blower, plenty of power. Now that spring is here I use a 17 ft batwing finish mower to mow 13 acres, again plenty of power.

Just bought my second Powerstar 75. First one was a 2015, second one was a leftover 2018. 2015 was a t4.75, 2018 is a powerstar 75. both had the same options, but for some reason the 18 just seems smother and more powerful. Also the cab seems quieter. 2015 has 2200 mostly trouble free hrs. 2018 was picked up 5 days ago and has 30 hrs on it. My region had a 7500 dollar rebate if you financed 60mnths @ 3.4 %. payed right at 40 OTD. That's 5 grand less than I paid for my 15. The 18 has a hand brake and no park, witch is a lot nicer for me. They are defanitley a pleasure to work with compared to the TN series.
