I hit something while mowing that shut down the tractor, I restarted the tractor and continued then all of a sudden no power, everything shut down. No dash lights, no fuel fuel pump, and no cranking. I replaced all the fuses. It started and then stopped when I tried to engage the mower, again everything completely dead. I rechecked fuses, all okay. Anyone got a clue as to what's going on?

I will bet the battery cables are loose, either at the battery side or the frame ground.

Nope, that's not it. Battery cables seem good, battery is good. I took off the side panel on the key side because it seemed jiggling the wires there made the power come back on intermittently. I jiggled near the starter switch, power on and off. I sprayed some CFC fluid on the contacts, but it seems that the power is still on and off.
Whatever it is, cable or ignition/starter switch, I think I’ve isolated the where.
The wires seem alright, do these key switches go bad?
On a hunch, I thought the starter switch was kaput, and so it was. The battery positive terminal on the switch had been fully corroded, most likely by battery acid. I put a replacement switch in and presto bingo power. Oh what a relief it is, that is, not to have the dealer come out to fix it. I got a set of extra keys now, you can never have enough spare keys.
Well like the Soprano ending, it is a happy ending, er well, at least I came back to post the ending, didn't I?
