I just got a real nice used 755 for mowing. My question is why would the center blade cut way (1/2") or so lower than the 2 outside blades? It is the 60" mid mower. Is that a sign of a bent blade? What else could be wrong?

Make sure the blade is installed properly. There is a lip that the blade has to go past when mounting on the hub. If it were tightened down without being past that it would be about a half inch low.

Could be a bent blade or a bad spindle. I would guess blade.

Get out your measuring stick and check the blades in several spots. I'm sure by looking carefully you'll find the reason..

BTW congratulations on the 755 purchase, lots of good things said about the 55 series, and the 755 in particular. :)

If the above suggestions don't correct the problem, then check to make sure the deck level is adjusted correctly front to back. The front of the deck should be slightly lower than the back, but no more than a 1/4" lower.

Measure the end of each blade from a flat surface like a concrete floor. Rotate each blade and measure again. If there is a difference it could be a bent blade or bent spindle. It's very hard to bend a spindle but I have bent a couple. You can take your blades off and stack them. If one is bent you will see it in the stack.

Got the time to tear the deck off and guess what- the blade was on upside down! Mows great now! Thanks for the help, I never would have thought of the blade though. Here are a couple of pics.

960, a guy who restores Corvettes repainted the body panels. That old JD green paint they used faded a ton. It was done right-no rattlecan special! Added a hardener to the paint to make it more durable and shine longer.

Very nicely done. Was the seat replaced? Some of the early models came with a yellow seat, but I know you can still buy OEM yellow or black ones. The yellow would be cooler during summer use. I attached a couple pics of mine with 608 hours.

Very nice looking tractors. I have an 88 model with about 3400 hrs on it. Mine doesn't look to bad for its age but not as good as those two do.

How do guys keep the foot deck so nice, floor mats?:D

/ 755 mowing kinda funny #17
When I see older ones the foot deck is always terribly worn, so I used to expect mine to get that way eventually. But I have not seen any signs of wear and I do nothing to protect it. So I do not know why the difference.

Whatever you're doing (or not doing) keep it up.;)

The seat was a yellow replacement, not original. I should flip my rear wheels like yours!
