7010 Transmission cables

Anyone had any issues? Had to adjust? Experiences?

2012 LS 7010 with just over 600 hrs, I haven't had any issues.

If you mean cables that run from shifter , then yes they are a problem.Mine were replaced with updated ones under warranty.Old one stretched.From what ive found,the problem is likely in the lower shifter controll mount.Take the plastic cover off and see if lowest bracket is moving.It is held in place by 2 phillips screws and they can get loose making it hard to get into gear.The holes are slotted so i tightened them up and put a bolt in a new drilled hole to fix the issue permanently.

Is this the synchro shuttle or the power shuttle or both? I see a person who owns a 7040 posted which I thought was a power shuttle only. I have a power shuttle and mine has been problem free.

It's not the power shuttle, I just spoke with the dealer and he gave me some hints for adjustment. He did say there is an updated cable to replace some cables that have the outer casing separate, but my problem is just adjustment issue hopefully. An other issue is the bracket at the base of the shifter breaking, I had this happen last week and welded it.

Need a new "updated" cable, one of mine was broken, 184.99 plus shipping, not really impressed at 550hrs.

Did you happen to take a photo, I will have to check mine further. Expensive, just for a cable.

I'll take a picture of the two together, when I receive the new ones, I bought two in case the other one fails. Really kills me spending 500+$ on something I'm making payments on!
