7.3 tranny

Ok so my tranny acted up and wont work it wants to go but won't changed fluids and filter. Now it will go when cold but not after a min warming up. Any ideas??

tork converter goes bad on these and sends metal fragments in the transmission.rebuild with upgraded parts and a triple disc billet converter. 2000.00 +

We got a current offer too have it just rebuilt not pulled or put in for $500 and yes it's not a scam. We did that before with this person. Just wanted to see if there was another way. The weird thing is that the magnet had nothing for shavings. It a only a few little small things but that was nothing

I was thinking of posting it there. Just got to get my account name. Haven't been on in a year or so. Just wanted to see what you guys think

I did have to replace my torque convertor once before I had to rebuild the tranny. If you've had yours go bad a couple of times not far apart, I'd be looking for a reason why. The heavy duty, low stall billet is a nice TC, you will notice a difference with it.

Have you scanned for codes? It might point you to something as simple as a solenoid issue. The 4r100 uses a solenoid pack, not individuals. You should check it out before or during a rebuild anyway, prior to reassembly.
