6x6 wire mesh

Not sure if any other Lowes stores are doing this but the local one decided that the 5'x150' rolls of 6x6 wire mesh for concrete are too unsafe to keep on the top level of the shelving. Normally they sell for $120ish but they have them on clearance for $48. Unfortunately they didn't have any and being a clearance I figured they weren't getting any more in but asked anyway. To my surprise they did and the guy at the contractor counter said he would sell me them at $10 a roll if I bought them all. Funny thing was after I bought the last 5 rolls the guy on the forklift found 6 more rolls. I almost bought those too but really didn't have room. So for all those here who are building a garage like me, or any other project requiring cement, you may want to check your local Lowes.

Local Lowes keeps a few on the floor, the rest in the bullpen. $120 a roll. $89 at the local steel center.

Of course it is! For tomato cages! Kinda' like plastic pipe, good for lots of things, just not what it's made for!

But I prefer woven wire for the tomatoes. :laughing:

For cement work I like the 5 x 8 panels vs. dealing with a roll that needs to be unwound and fighting with the weight but for $10 a roll I'll find uses.
