6410 lcd display

LCD display in center of dash is dead. I'm guessing it is not possible to get codes with out it? Has any body ever changed one? There is an outfit in Europe that will replace the screen but I have found no one in the states.

365 euros including shipping to me for a rebuilt one. Then I pay to ship mine back to Germany.

I know this thread is old but I ended up purchasing this John Deere repair kit and took my dash apart and replaced the cable. Works fine now.
