640 hydraulic pump

No, I do not have a service manual for the hydraulics. I have one for the tractor, but it is kind of vague on most of the hydraulics. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

As a side not, when I started my tractor last night, the 3ph raised, slowly but it did raise. Wierd. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just need to get the thing apart and give it a once over.

There is a screen in there somewhere, hard to get to I believe, that can clog up.

I guess with no oil out of the pump it is oil related - it's not just that cam follower pin problem that 40+ years fo waer will cause? Is this only a 3pt problem, or are other hyd involved?

I think there is a plug on top or toward the front of the pump--I have had success adding hydraulic fluid thru that hole to reprime the pump--Ken Sweet
