I didn't use the mulching kit with the OEM or gators. The clippings are very fine with the gators and no "plug" on the discharge.

Ditto here. No mulching kit. The discharge looks finer to me with the Gators, but I can't say for sure. I didn't have any complaints about the stockers until I tweaked one (my bad, of course).

Hi everyone:

So it sounds like JD took some money from my backhoe fund for a mulch kit I did not really need. The mulch kit also appears to ruin the wash-out port function, but I've read it doesn't work anyway.

I know... MAYBE all that plastic will make my deck last longer! :thumbsup:

... and don't anyone tell me all that plastic will make the deck more difficult to clean, hold dirt and debris and corrode the deck even faster. I know it's true. I just don't want anyone to remind me.
