my new 6000 mahindra with less than 200 hours on it, has a bent tie bar. I am calling it a tie bar because it has the tie rods on it. It was installed wrong from the factory and that is why it bent, but the dealers will not do anything about it> Does that really surprise you. They F%$K up but then it is your fault. Just wanted to let M_usa know how his dealers are. WISHING i would have went ORANGE. Just so you know the tie bar was installed to where it sat under the weight bar instead of on top of the front axle. But not to worry, the customer with the brand new tractor fixed it, BECAUSE TWO DEALERS /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif WOULD NOT

one tire would be straight and one would be toed in really bad. i did not hit anything i had a bucket full of dirt and backed up and this happened. It happened because it was installed wrong from the factory, there is no doubt in my mind. It really looks a lot sturdier now that it is on right. Just another pain in my butt.

Glad you got it right. I'm surprised Mahindra didn't fall all over themselves to make this right. Difference in cultures I guess.....BobG in VA who is now really enjoying the 511 Backhoe.....

Is this for a 4wd or a 2wd? I'm not exactly sure which part you are referring to. For the part I think you talking about, there is only one way for it to be installed.

it is a 4wd tractor. It is the part that connects the 2 front tires together at the tie rod ends.

That was exactly what I was thinking. I wish a picture was posted on this part.

I believe you are refering to the tie rod assembly. There is only one way for it to be installed or the tie rod assembly would hit the front part of the axle and restrict the ability to turn the front wheels to the left or right.

Is it the dealer that told you that it was installed incorrectly from the factory? or was it you that decided it wasn't installed correctly from the factory. (Not trying to cause an arguement, just trying to get to the bottom of it) I've found in the past, dealing with customers that everyone says it was like that since i bought it, when something goes wrong. About 95% of the time, this isn't true. But, i'm not saying it can't happen.....i file warranty claims every month for Mahindra tractors, so i know they are not perfect.

yes it is the tie rod assy. Yes M_usa it is installed where it would hit the front axle and restrict turning radius. I put it back on the way the rest of them were at the dealer, and now it steers much easier and has a tighter turning radius. The bar was hitting the front axle which caused it to bend. I wish i would have taken pics, because now everybody thinks that i am stupid. I wish i could show you the marks an the axle casting where it had been rubbing. just wanted to let everybody know. And yes by the way, the dealer i took it to says it was put on wrong, and my dealer says ok bring it on, we will fix it, and you can pay us. what really good warranty they have huh.

Could it be the dealer won't fix it w/o charge because MUSA will not reimburse the dealer or pay for the work?

I sure hope not. It seems that with the addition musa marketing as a tbn member, there is a genuine desire to correct issues that arise. I can understand the frustration from not getting satisfaction from the selling dealer but, I think I would have sent a pm to musa marketing, after the initial posting, since we at tbn have an additional resource. I'm not entirely sure this wasn't done however, but I'd like to see the result and maybe pictures if possible. I do hope turbinesurgun has better results with his tractor from here.

My dealer told me that Mahindra has never refused any of his warranty requests. The dealer has been selling Mahindra's for about five years and has sold hundreds of Mahindras.

I really think that the majority of dealers, no matter what brand they sell, are going to do everything they can to keep a customer happy, even if it means eating a few dollars on a warranty repair.

If a dealer isn't interested in making sure the customer is happy they really aren't going to put a lot of effort into the warranty experience and will likely tell the customer anything to put them off.
