553 FEL question

I have a 5065e with 553. I noticed that when the bucket is unloaded the curl cylinders do not appear to be equally loaded. Note that HD bucket still weighs 392 lbs. The cylinder block on the carrier end engages the pin on carrier. The left one (from seat) is harder to move laterally across the pin. The right one moves more freely. When there is load in bucket , you can't move either one side to side, I am guessing because the friction on greased pin due to the load (either tension or compression depending on whether or not you are dumping or curling). Do the loader cylinders have a lead-lag type relationship where one might carry more force initially? The timing rod below keeps them from yawing (binding). Just wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this? The loader works great, even carrying a full bucket of gravel.

Seal resistance and flow makes the cylinders different. That's why there is a timing rod between them. No issue...

I don't know if this is any info. for u but I own a 5093e with a 553 FEL , and it to has lag in the hydraulics. I have questioned this from the first day I bought this tractor , ( by the way the dealer installed this model ) I ordered a tractor with a FEL etc...... The year is 2010 . I run heavy equipment for a living and im used to response time being quick. I must say that Ive had different FEL on my farm over the years , The last being a JD also forget the model # but the tractor was a 5020 mfwd etc with cab etc..... good machine for what I did with it. The FEL was strong etc..... and I never noticed any lag or problems. I cant say that about this FEL. Ive had the dealer mechanics out to my farm etc.... and they tested the pressure etc.... twice. Each time they said everything ok! I said B.....S....... !I had approx. 15 ton of what we call 2a stone (mix of crushed Lime stone and #57 etc.) its know for being heavy etc .... for road work et...... any way ,I ask the mechanic on the last visit to get a big bucket load and raise it , He did and with throttle up etc.... and raise it up approx. 3/4 of the way up and stopped . He told me everything was good ! He then proceeded to drop the loaded bucket quickly and caught it before it hit the ground. This P.... me off , I said u are not to dam smart, and u just tested the frame bolts etc...... ( He did this twice) . Fortunately nothing broke , But I also got a laugh because he Crapped his pants when the a.... end came off the ground! He said that the lag time was built in from JD , when asked why he said they (JD ) doesn't want us Quote WEEKEND WARRIORS getting hurt ,or in trouble. They build them slow and with lag so if we would drop in a hole by mistake we would not roll etc...... I say this is all B..... S.......IMO they are just built slow and with poor quality. IMO im still using this tractor but Im not IMPRESSED with the whole UNIT as a WHOLE ( poor tractor quality etc... for JD) considering the price tag.Have a good 1
