Last year I had the tractor split due to a clutch that intermittently wouldn't fully release. It would drag just enough to lock up the shifter or sometimes I would need the brake to stop it. Upon inspection it was determined to be dried grease on the transmission spline, and the clutch looked fine. Tractor has 1500hrs. Put it back together only to discover that wasn't the problem.I put up with it all year till finally decided it was a real pain and besides I could be doing harm to the transmission synchronizers. So last month I had it split again and a clutch put in. FIXED!!! Finally. Old clutch shows very little wear. I have all the luck. Most people install clutches that start slipping and are wore out. I have replace one that won't give up and isn't wore hardly at all.OBTW the new clutch was 100.00 more than last year.
