5205 PTO Question

I have a 5205 JD Tractor, PTO engages, when starting up my Rhino 172 bushhog, but when I get in grass and weeds it almost stops. Anyone out there with similar problem?

I would make sure the slip clutch on the cutter isn't slipping first. That is the cheapest most likely thing.

You can also check that the PTO clutch rod is adjusted correctly. How to adjust/check is in the operators manual, link provided,
