A Bradco 611 is my first choice. Been looking for a good used one for four months. I was the high bidder on one on Ebay but the guy notified me 2 days after the auction that he sold it locally. Can't seem to located one in New England or New York. As far a specs go the Bobcat 811 is very close (reach, dipper and bucket pressure). There seems to be more used 811s available than 611s. If the Mahindra 511 subframe (Bradco said the 611 hoe uses the 511 subframe) will mate up (with minimal alterations) to a Bobcat 811, it would be an acceptible second choice.

Yeah, there are a lot more used Bradco 509's and 609's around than 511's and 611's. No surprise since a lot of these are coming off skidsteers. But your machine deserves an 11-footer... so I can certainly see where you are coming from.

BOBVT,
I think if you search that Bobcat backhoe you find out that it may have been made by Bradco.
If you post a picture of it I can tell if it will work for you.
Or just bring everything down and I will make it work for you.:)

Rick,

Thanks for the offer, I sure wish you were closer. I'll keep it in mind though.

The Bobcat 811's do look very similar to the Bradcos, but there are some subtle differences (reach is 3" longer, curl & dipper pressure is 3% less, and skid steer mounting plate looks different).

I still want to see a 511 subframe up close before I made any decisions.

Bob,
I have my BH off for mowing.......and it isn't raining. ;) I just went out in the dark and took some photos. Thanks to modern technology, I am uploading great flash assisted photos as I type. I hope they help :)
hugs, Brandi

Brandi,

Thanks a million for the pictures. They are exactly what I wanted to do if I inspected one. Could I impose upon you to give me both the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the subframe mounting face (where bolts to backhoe)? On the horizontal I'd like both the outside and inside (between bolting plates). If I have these dimensions, I can tell if I can mount the 511 subframe (hoe part) to a non-Bradco hoe.

Thanks again.

Bobvt,
I have the Bradco/Mahindra subframe on my 2810 and the plates that connect to the hoe. My hoe is a 3pt mount and I plan on adapting also. I'll be interested to see your project.

Bob,
Hehe. :D Last night while taking photos, I thought you might ask that. I will measure it this afternoon. :)

Hey, Brandi, can you upload your photos reduced in size? 150KB
will show as much detail on a 17-inch monitor as your 400KB pix.
Some of us can not get broadband access.

...and I love to look at anything related to backhoes and subframes.

dfkrug,
When I save the photos in my computer....I save them as best size for emailing. I have dialup and don't have a problem, it just takes longer to upload and download. It is proberly your browser program. Send me a PM with your email address and I will email them to you at your email address. It should work that way. My Kodak Easyshare program will let me save it at Full size, 75%, 50% & 25% also, best for email, best for web, and Thumbnail.

Bob,
Now I am confused. These dimensions are for a Bradco 511 BH. How does that work if you are using a Bobcat 811 BH? Even if the holes were only a half hole off, the rigors of a BH deem tight tolerance holes a must. I figured you would cut off the bolt hole flanges from the BH subframe half and weld on new flanges to fit a Bobcat 811 BH. So, you should measure the Bobcat 811 BH also. 511 BH bolt holes are approx. 23 inch spacing for the inboard holes. Inboard to outboard holes are approx. 2.5 inch spacing. So outside to outside bolt holes are approx. 28 inches. The upper holes to the lower holes are approx. 12.5 inch spacing. Eight bolt holes in all. I measured with a tape measure, thus the approx. measurements. I could give exact measurements in the thundredths, but my 3 foot steel rule is at the hangar, 62 miles away. ;)
