I have been looking at the 05 series and have picked up on some threads that said it wasn't a great tilling tractor. Too fast in first gear? No creeper gear opition?
That being said I was wondering if someone could tell me how these tractors would do with a 90" tiller? and exactly how fast is the first low gear? In comparison to my current tractor Mahindra 6000 4x4?
I want a tractor that compares with the Mahindra eventually, but we have discussed getting a 990 4x4 with fel and then later getting something 2wd from the 03 or 05 series.
My tractor or tractors would be used for general farm work from rolling up to 100 rolls(4x4 rolls) of hay per year, sqaure baling a couple thousand, to tilling my pumpkin patch, to just pulling a trailer with the kids.
I know the 990 is not a haying tractor, but would it be capable of moving 4x4 rolls with the fel and the 3 pt?
