5075E won"t start.

MY 5075E John Deere tractor want start. it was in gear when it was tried to crank. didn't realize it was in gear (not Park). the second time I turned over switch, I hard a whining sound/click. Put it back in park and turn key over.. just a click under steering wheel. all the lights on dish light up.. any ideas?

Battery good? I would start from scratch and ensure the PR is in N gear select in P and range in neutral. Make sure pto is off and go from there

I check battery, even hooked up jumper cables. It's in park, rolled it to see if in just was not getting out of gear.

I'll suggest to clean/tighten all 4 battery cable ends

May check for possible blown fuses. Had an issue with once that diagnosed by first finding a blown fused under steering wheel.
