Comparison 5035 vs 5530

Looking to buy a new tractor in the 50hp range. The Mahindra 5035 has been one I've given serious consideration as well as the Kioti dk50se.

A friend is purchasing the 5530. Curious how the two compare.

My sons review says it all regarding our 5530 Turbo 4wd. The linkage was and has been our only problem.

I have a 5530 4WD that I bought this spring and have been quite impressed with its capabilities. I don't know much about the 5035 other then it is slightly smaller and was priced a little higher. If you want a strong and heavy machine without all the bells and whistles the 5530 will not disappoint you. I have been using mine on a 32acre piece of land that hasn't been cared for in over 30 years and it does everything I ask of it with ease.

I have the 6000 4x4 which is before the 30 series. Big honkin tractor with mechanical linkages, easy to service, just not quite as nice as the newer 35s. Good, heavy, well built. I don't think the 00 and 30 series get the respect they deserve!

What exactly do you plan to use the tractor for?

We have about 20 acres in woods and 40 in fields. Also have 20-acres on the SC coast that I bush hog yearly. Need to run a HD rotary cutter since typically dealing with a lot of 2-3 inch saplings there. For home want to be able to pull a small square baler and (eventually) run a decent sized wood chipper.

Looking at purchasing a Bush Hog 296 rotary cutter and also W R Long OBG-1 grapple w/3rd function kit when I pick up the new tractor.
